Welcome to Family & Life Enrichment consultations. My goal is to be a place where you can confidentially and comfortably receive the help you need. I believe everyone can benefit from working with a trained professional to address the issues that may be holding you back from a full and complete life.

All are welcome to contact me for sessions in person in the greater Charlotte, NC area, or video sessions on computer/phone (in and outside the US). My hope is to bring good news to those suffering, mend the brokenhearted, comfort those who grieve and mourn, and give hope, encouragement for the heaviness and stress of life. (Isa. 61)

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT, LAC), with services offered remotely through private online sessions, or in-person in the greater Charlotte, NC area. My specialties include issues such as depression, anxiety, stress, anger, etc. for individuals, couples, marriages, and families. I am fully licensed for addiction counseling,


CORE VALUE

My core values are all about my deep conviction that self-care should be a priority for people to live an optimum life. I offer life and relationship consultations with individuals, couples, marriages, families, and organizations (e.g. churches).

I specialize in addiction/alcohol issues; the military (active duty, their families, DOD staff and veterans); prison populations/ criminality; healthy sexuality; faith based living/spirituality; pastoral issues (marriage, family, organizational, leadership); self-care, and more.

APPROACH

I approach consulting from a Christian perspective, providing spiritual direction, pastoral counseling, and Biblical life and relationship consultations.

Services are available remotely anywhere in the US (and some other countries), via video computer/phone sessions. In-person sessions are available locally in the greater Charlotte, NC area.

Bio

Dr. Harry Pearson LMFT, LAC specializes in situations involving addictions, the military, relationships, self-care and pastoral leadership.

Dr. Pearson draws on 30+ years of experience to carry out his work in counseling, radio/video, special events, and pastoral care at Focus on the Family (Oct 2014-Jan 2018). His experience working with individuals, marriages, families, children and organizations/churches has equipped him to come alongside hurting people and offer a unique combination of clinical and spiritual support/direction.

He is an AAMFT Approved Supervisor and has worked as a Licensed Therapist in clinical counseling centers and private practice. He was a Deployed Resiliency Counselor for the U.S. Department of Defense. He has served with the Missouri Department of Corrections as a State Substance Abuse Treatment Coordinator. Dr. Pearson is also an Authorized Mental Health Chaplain, and did teaching/training for those serving at Naval Base Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, as well as working with the Air Force, Army, and Marine Corps.

Dr. Pearson has taught on the University and Graduate levels at the University of Valley Forge, Evangel University, and the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary. He has also been a Church/Organizational Leader serving as Assistant Pastor of Education and Counseling, Associate Pastor of Education and Training, and Founding/Senior Pastor. Dr. Pearson also participated in starting two church ministries and two corporate businesses.

Dr. Pearson holds various degrees and Clinical Certifications. He graduated from the Clinical Doctoral Program in Marriage and Family Therapy (D.Min.) at Palmer Theological Seminary of Eastern University. He received a Ph.D. in Christian Counseling from Trinity Theological Seminary. He has also earned three masters degrees: an advanced Clinical Master of Sacred Theology in Pastoral Care/Counseling (STM) from New York Theological Seminary; a Master of Arts in Religious Education (MRE) from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary; and a Master of Arts in Biblical Literature (MA) from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary. Dr. Pearson’s Bachelor in Business Administration is from Evangel University. He is Clinically Certified in Counseling through The Blanton-Peale Graduate Institute in New York City and The Council for Relationships in Philadelphia.

He has been married to Karyn since 1982. They have three adult children and three granddaughters.
